Polaris started because three people who had each been responsible for corporate learning were tired of choosing between software that was powerful and software that anyone wanted to use.

Most learning systems can tell you who clicked through a module. Very few can tell you whether anyone can now do something they could not do before. We think that gap is why learning budgets are the first to be cut.
It would be easy to build a tutor that hands over answers, and it would be popular. It would also be useless. Ours is instructed to ask a question back — which people find annoying for about a week and valuable thereafter.
Compliance training is the most-completed and least-respected content in the industry. It is possible to make it short, specific and genuinely useful. Most vendors simply have not tried.
